On Wednesday 2 November 2011 the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs received the delegation of the Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) on their study tour of Croatia and Romania. This is a non-government, non-profit, two-party organization which has been functioning in the United States of America for more than forty years. It is active in the area of promoting the international exchange of the upcoming generations of young political US leaders and their counterparts all over the world who are working on the development and promotion of various public policies. Within their study tour of Croatia, seven members of the delegation were acquainted with the institutions of the Croatian political system, the key economic and social challenges and the role of civil society organizations.
Igor Vidačak, Head of the Office brought the delegation up to date with the activities of the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs, the structure of the organized civil society scene in Croatia, and the challenges which joining the EU brings in relation to the environment for civil society development as a whole.
