The Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs (GOfNGOs) hosted a delegation from Serbia including 15 representatives of different CSOs from Serbia and the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue.
Within the project “Dialogue of changes: Support to reforms through cooperation with CSOs and public authorities, the representatives of 15 different CSOs from Serbia and the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue participated at the study visit to Zagreb and Čakovec form 19 to 22 September 2023. The Project is financed by EU funds and is implemented by the Belgrade Open School (BOS). The Overall Goal of the project is to contribute to reforms in Serbia based on stakeholder dialogue, i.e. supporting evidence-based public policy dialogue and cooperation between CSOs and public authorities.
The first day was reserved for the topics of institutional, normative and financial framework for cooperation of Government and CSOs in Croatia, presentation of the work of the GOfNGOs, multilateral Partnership of Open Government Initiative as well as the Union Programme - Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) 2021 - 2027. Also, on the first day the work of the Gong was presented and the participants were opportunity to take part in the tourist Walk through the history of the association in Zagreb, i.e. visit some of the most significant locations related to civil society in Zagreb at the turn of the 19
th and 20
th centuries.
The participants visited the Association ACT and the social cooperative Humana Nova in Čakovec, as the example of successful social company. Also, the work of the following association were presented to them: Croatian Youth Network (CYN), Brave phone and Croatian Alliance of Associations for Mental Health.
The last day of the visit was dedicated for familiarization with the work of the Associations Green Action and Association for Self-representation. During the visit the participants had the opportunity to hear about work and good practices of associations in Croatia, challenges they face, and to share their experiences in the areas they deal with.
