European Economic and Social Committee launched on 22 February 2008 a process of public consultations on the United Nations climate change negotiations. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change adopted an action plan entitled the Bali Roadmap that foresees reaching a global agreement by 2009. The Committee opines that the agreement will have considerable implications for industrial production in the EU and thereby it decided to also include the representatives of civil society in the process of consultations.
To this end, the Committee made a questionnaire based on the Bali Roadmap. The questionnaire and detailed information can be found here.
