Croatian Government has adopted the Decision on initiating the procedure for drafting the National Plan for the Creation of Enabling Environment for the Civil Society Development in the period 2021 – 2027

At its 42nd session held on 4 February 2021, the Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted the Decision on initiating the procedure for drafting the National Plan for the Creation an Enabling Environment for the Civil Society Development from 2021 to 2027.

This Decision instructs the Government Office for NGOs to develop a National Plan for the Creation an Enabling Environment for the Civil Society Development from 2021 to 2027. Namely, in the Decree on the Office for Associations (OG 34/12 and 63/19) the scope of work was defined which encompases development, systematic monitoring, analysis and evaluation of the implementation of strategic programs for the creation of an enabling environment for the civil society development, as well as the preparation and implementation of measures of other strategic documents that include activities of cooperation with associations.

The National plan for the Creation of Enabling Environment for the Civil Society Development is a strategic document which defines Croatian Government policy, i.e., the goals to be achieved in the area of normative, financial and institutional environment for civil society development. It also proscribes the support to CSOs acting as important actors of socio-economic development of the Republic of Croatia, including design and implementation of EU and international policy.
