Action Plan for the Open Government Partnership Initiative - Public Consultations on Priority Issues

On 31 January 2012, the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs organized a public discussion entitled “Open Government Partnership”. The conference was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Embassy of the USA, with EU financial support under IPA 2009 Project “Strengthening The Capacity of The Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs for Building Effective Partnership with Civil Society Organizations in the Fight against Corruption” implemented by PARTICIP GmbH. This is a part of public consultations on priority issues which should be resolved by the measures in the national Action Plan on whose implementation the Republic of Croatia is to work within this initiative for the foreseeable period.

Therefore, we invite all civil society organizations and other stakeholders of the interested public to submit written comments, i.e. to submit proposals pertaining to identifying the priority measures. The document prepared for the purpose of public consultations can be downloaded here. The deadline for submitting proposals is 13 February 2012. Please send your comments to: sandra.pernar@uzuvrh.hr.

Additionally, we would like to point out that more information on the discussion itself is available at the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs web site. More detailed information on Open Government Partnership initiative can be found here.

All received contributions will be given consideration and the draft Action Plan will be made based on them. It is expected that the draft Action Plan drawn up in this way will be sent to the Council of the initiative, established by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia of 26 January 2012.

We would like to express thanks to all those who will participate in the consultations in this way.
