Overview of the EU citizens’ perception on values promoted by the EU funding programmes
The goal of this edition of the Eurobarometer survey was to give overview of EU citizens’ perception on values promoted by the EU funding programmes related to rights and values: The Programme Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values and, Justice Programme as well as their awareness on different instruments used for promoting and protecting EU rights and values. More than half of EU citizens (53%) feel as well informed on rule of law in their country, while three out of ten feel as well informed on rule of law in other EU countries. We would like to emphasized from the named Report, that the analysed were, among other, how much citizens in Croatia knew about the existence of CERV programme and were introduced in detail with that programme terms. According to the Report, the Croatia is on the first position with the result 59% of respondents, while Italy is after, then Malta, Cyprus and Portugal.
We consider that data as directly connected to the work of the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs (GOfNGOs) as national contact point for Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme so as we are extremely satisfied that this result was reached after three years of intensive work. We strive every day to respond to the potential applicants’ needs, use every opportunity and different communication channels to contribute to raising capacities of potential applicants as well as raise knowledge and level of information to a broader spectrum of stakeholders. Together with the partners we find new approaches in order to our educational and informative events make interesting, well-prepared and current for the Croatian applicants and public, as well. A particular attention we give to the areas of special state attention, rural areas as well as islands and, all that in order to work evenly on raising the capacity of different types of applicants in all parts of Croatia. That news makes us very proud and gives us additional motivation for further growth and development.
