Ending of the publication of all three tenders within the component I. of the IPA 2008 programme

The Central Finance and Contracting Agency published all three tenders for grants for projects which will contribute to strengthening capacity and the role of civil society organisations in executing monitoring activities of EU laws and regulations in the sphere of anti-discrimination politics, fight against corruption and the overall transparency, openness and accountability of public administration bodies, and sustainable development.

 

The tenders will be financed through EU assistance, which are a part of the component I. of the IPA 2008, falling under “Transition Assistance and Institution Building“. The Office for Cooperation with NGOs, in cooperation with Council for the Development of Civil Society, was an active partner in producing tender documentation. The Office for Cooperation with NGOs, acting as the implementation unit for the EU accession assistance projects in the field of civil society, is responsible for the tender.

 

Project proposals can be made by civil society organisations, as well as academic and research institutions. The total amount available within each tender is €1,111,111, while the grants will be awarded in sums ranging between €50,000 and €250,000.

Subission deadlines for project proposlas are 2nd November 2009 (for the field of anti-discrimination strategy), 10th November 2009 (for the filed of fight against corruption and the overall transparency, openness and accountability of public administration bodies), and 16^th November 2009 (for sustainable development). The dates for the consultation meeting in SAFU (Central Finance and Contracting Agency) will be published on their website. The Office for Cooperation with NGOs is planning to organise a series of regional workshops for potential users of the programme after the summer holidays.
