The central web portal for consultations with the interested public "e-Consultations" counts six months of its existence.

Since the official launch of the "e-Consultations" on April 27th this year, a qualitative progress was made regarding the available information on open consultations to the wider public, simplicity of commenting on law proposals, other regulations and documents, but also referring to the efficient processing by state bodies of the received comments and the preparation of reports on the results of consultations.

In the first six months of e-Consultations there have been 2552 registered users, out of which 1509 individuals, 151 associations, 510 business organizations, 131 craft trades and many other legal entities. Twenty-seven state bodies have launched 269 consultations in total, which have received 3237 comments by the interested public.

The quoted data show that the "e-Consultations" system has been brought to life and accepted by citizens and state bodies as a mechanism for improving the transparency level of the performance of governmental bodies, as well as for including citizens in decision making process.

Over the past months the Croatian Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs has held more than forty training workshops for state officials, aimed at the efficient use of e-Consultations.

In the forthcoming period the priority is to improve the "e-Consultations" system so that the interested public can increasingly (and in a quality manner) participate in public consultation procedures.

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who participate and contribute to the open and inclusive process of public policy making in the Republic of Croatia.
