Government Passes the Decision about Setting up an Interdepartmental Commission for Coordinating the Policy for Financing NGO Projects and Programmes from the Croatian State Budget

On the session from 12 July 2012 the Government of the Republic of Croatia passed the Decision on Setting up the Interdepartmental Commission for Coordinating the Policy for Financing NGO Projects and Programmes from the Croatian State Budget.

The Interdepartmental Commission was set up with the aim of establishing and implementing effective coordination between state administration bodies,Government Offices and other public institutions in the procedures of granting funds from the state budget to projects and programmes of special interest for the common good which are implemented by NGOs in Croatia. Bearing in mind the significantly higher NGO project and programme financing from the EU funds which is expected, as well as the need for ensuring higher national co-financing, the establishment of the Interdepartmental Commission is at the same time a response to the need for the overall harmonization of financing NGO projects and programmes from the national sources and EU funds, especially for the purpose of using resources available in the society efficiently and funds from all public sources transparently.
