Meetings of the working group for preparation of the Strategy for Cooperation with and Development of the Civil Society held

The meetings were held on March 14th and 15th 2018 in the Club of the state administration bodies in Skopje.

As part of the Twinning Light Project implemented by the Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia "Further institutionalization of a structured mechanism for cooperation between the Government and the civil society", and related to the activity „Preparation of new Action plan for the period 2018-2020 for implementation of the Strategy for cooperation of the Government with civil society with possible focus on secondary legislation and harmonisation of the relevant legislation“, the meetings of the working group were held, regarding the development of the Strategy for Cooperation with and Development of the Civil Society.
The members of the working group were divided into two groups, according to their preferences and the area of activity. The first group will focus on the first and the second priority area of the Concept of the Strategy of the Government of Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with and Development of Civil Society 2018 -2020: „Normative, institutional and financial framework for civil society development“ and  „Democratization, active participation and participation of the civil society in the social and political processes, with a special focus on the EU integration processes“.  The second group is in charge of the third priority area: „Civil society as an actor of social-economic development“.
At the meeting held on Wednesday, March 14^th, 40 members of the working group, the representatives of the General Secretariat - Unit for Cooperation with NGOs and the members of the project team from the Office for Cooperation with NGOs participated, and 24 participants took part in the meeting on Thursday, March 15^th.
During the meetings the proposed goals, measures and indicators of the Strategy for Cooperation of the Government with Civil Society were also discussed.
Further activities within the project include the preparation of a new Action plan for the period 2018-2020 for the implementation of the Strategy for Cooperation of the Government with Civil Society and the public presentations of the Action Plan and the Strategy.
