More than HRK 14 milion for the CSOs projects in the area of the local community development

On 23 June 2022 Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs (GOfNGOs) organised contract award ceremony for the projects from the ESF Call „Strengthening the Capacity of Civil Society Organizations to Respond to Local Needs“, at the Hotel International Zagreb.

The call for a total value of HRK 120 million aims to ensure the development of civil society in the Republic of Croatia, which ensures balanced regional socio-economic growth and democratic development of the Republic of Croatia. Specifically, the Call seeks to strengthen the capacity of CSOs active in local communities to implement activities tailored to local problems and to work directly in areas funded by the European Social Fund (employment, education, social inclusion, good governance) at the local level, but also improve the capacity of civil society organizations to provide an effective response to the needs of the local community in crisis situations.
 
On the occasion of completion of the part of project contracting process referring to the a.m. Call contracted were the project from the 14th, 15th and 16th Decision on financing worth over HRK 14 million. All projects are co-financed from the European Social Fund and the State Budget on the position of the GOfNGOs.
 
The contracts' signatories were welcomed by Luka Bogdan, Deputy Director of the National Foundation for the Civil Society Development, Helena Beus, authorised to perform the duties the Director of GOfNGOs  and Margareta Mađerić, Sate Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy.
