National Foundation Launched a Call for Proposals for Allocation of Rewards for the Development of Participative Democracy and Cooperation with Citizens and CSOs

National Foundation for Civil Society Development launched a call for proposals for allocation of rewards to the units of local and regional self-government for the development of participative democracy and cooperation with citizens and civil society organizations with a view to improve the inclusion of citizens into the processes of implementation of public policies in local and regional communities.
 
Units of local and regional self-government may apply their own cases of good practice and their achievements in development of participative democracy through improvement of systematic inclusion of citizens into the process of defining the priorities of public needs in community, as well as their inclusion into the processes of decision-making in local and regional self-government.
 
The Call will be opened until 19 July, while the best projects will be awarded on the ceremony on 24 November 2008 in Zagreb.
