Presentation of NGO Projects Contracted Under IPA 2009 Programme in the Area of Innovative Social Service Provision
Six NGO projects contracted under IPA 2009 programme Strengthening the Capacity of Civil Society NGOs for the Provision of Innovative Social Services in the Areas of Special State Concern were presented at the EU Information Centre in Zagreb on 30 May 2012. The presentation was organised by the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs.
Under the above mentioned IPA 2009 call for proposals, six NGOs and 17 partner organisations from all over Croatia contracted financial support exceeding 1.012.500,00 euros (which is more than 7 million kunas) for the activities related to providing innovative social service programmes in the areas of special state concern. As a beneficiary institution, the Office for Cooperation with NGOs prepared the tender documents and is involved in monitoring of the implementation of these projects in close cooperation with the Central Financing and Contracting Agency.
More than fifty representatives of civil society organisations, state administration bodies, foreign embassies in Croatia and EU Delegation to Croatia attended the event. In the introductory part, the keynote addresses were given by Paolo Berizzi, Head of Political, Economic, Trade and Press & Information Section of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Domagoj Šimunović, Acting Director of the Central Financing and Contracting Agency, Mrs. Maja Šipoš, Assistant Minister of Social Policy and Youth and Mr. Igor Vidačak, Acting Head of the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs.
A workshop for the beneficiaries of the above mentioned grant scheme took place in the afternoon. Its purpose was to inform the beneficiaries about the obligations arising from the contracts and the administrative aspect of project implementation.
