The Associations all over Croatia opened their doors to interested citizens with more than 440 different events during 3-days manifestation NGOs Open Days 2018.
The Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs (GOfNGOs) organised traditionally the NGOs Open Days in the period from 24 until 26 May 2018. Aiming at getting closer to the citizens their programmes and activities, the associations organised all over Croatia number of creative workshops, lectures, shows, actions, as well as they presented in innovative ways their socially beneficial projects and programmes, but also the possibilities to the citizens to be included in volunteer programmes. The special emphasis this year was on the presentation of the associations’ projects and programmes financed with funds from the public sources, in order to contribute even greater openness and better transparency of the work of the associations in Croatia.
In the framework of the NGOs Open Days 2018, the GOfNGOs organised the event titled “Cooperation of the County with the civil sector”, in the cooperation with the Council for the Civil Society Development of the Krapina-Zagorje County, on Thursday, 24 May, at the facilities Centre for Youth and Independent Culture in Zabok. Within the named event, the prefect Ċ½eljko Kolar signed the Declaration on Cooperation of the County and the CSOs in the Republic of Croatia (RoC). The Declaration on Cooperation with Counties and CSOs in the RoC, which on this occasion was presented and signed by the prefect of the Krapina-Zagorje County, was created recognising the fact that the developed civil society is one of the preconditions and benchmarks of a stable political system. Also, the cooperation of public administration with citizens and civil society in creation, implementation and monitoring of public politics is one of the basic features of country that serves to its citizens, as well as bearing in mind the European Charter on Local-Self Government and National Strategy of Creation of Enabling Environment for the Civil Society Development.
On Friday, 25 May, the award prize was held within the Public Call “Communication Support to socially beneficial programmes of associations”, at the facilities of the Croatian Association for Public Relations. GOfNGOs in cooperation with the Croatian Association with public relations has been conducting this Public Call for the third year so that associations with financial support and pro bono support from public relations agencies can successfully promote socially beneficial projects and the positive contribution of civil society in the development of culture of solidarity.
This year in cooperation with the agencies for public relations Alphabet of Communication and Mediahint, two associations will get expert communication support and financial support amount to 30.000 HRK. In the implementation of the projects the students of public relations will participate.
