Proposal for Settlement of Fundamental Questions Regarding the Regulation of the Status of Croatian Public Benefit Organizations

According to the Operational Implementation Plan of the National Strategy for Creating Enabling Environment for Civil Society Development, the Working Group of the Council for Civil Society Development for Identification of Criteria about the Status of Croatian Public Benefit Organizations drew up a Proposal for Settlement of Fundamental Questions Regarding the Regulation of the Status of Croatian Public Benefit Organizations. The purpose of the document is to define criteria for acquiring a status of public benefit organization which are required with regard to the fact that civil society in Croatia achieved a degree of development when one should distinguish between civil society organizations that are founded with the purpose to carry out activities for the public benefit and those founded for the benefit of their own membership.

Given the scope and the number of areas comprised by the document as well as its purposive and sustainable character, the Office for Cooperation with NGOs is inviting all representatives of interested public – institutions, organizations and individuals – to send their proposals, remarks and suggestions by email address info@uzuvrh.hr, not later than 18 April 2008.
