Public consultation on the priorities of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Open Government Partnership initiative in the Republic of Croatia for the period 2020 to 2022
The Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs is opening a public consultation on the priorities of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Open Government Partnership initiative in the Republic of Croatia for the period from 2020 to 2022.
The Open Government Partnership is a multilateral initiative aimed at ensuring concrete progress in the areas of transparency and openness of public authorities, involvement and empowerment of citizens and civil society, fight against corruption and the use of new technologies to improve the quality of public services. The Republic of Croatia joined the initiative in September 2011 and thus undertook the obligation to develop national action plans. So far, the Action Plan for the implementation of the Open Government Partnership initiative in the RoC for the period from 2012 to 2013 and the Action Plan for the period from 2016 to 2018 have been successfully implemented. The implementation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Croatian Open Government Partnership initiative for the period up to 2020 is underway (it is being implemented until 30 August 2020).
In 2020, the Government of the Republic of Croatia is obliged to draft a new Action Plan for the next two years. With the intention of equal re-involving citizens and civil society in the process of drafting the Action Plan, as it was the case with the drafting of previous Action Plans, the public consultation on the priorities of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Open Government Partnership initiative for the period from 2020 to 2022 is opening again.
Based on the received proposals, in the coming period, the consultative meetings will be held with the competent state administration bodies and members of the Open Government Partnership Initiative Council and a draft of a new Action Plan will be prepared, on which additional public consultation will be conducted.
The consultation is open until July 1, 2020.
